Pacific Heights Penthouse

World class views abound at our Broadway Penthouse in Pacific Heights. Butler Armsden teamed with interior designer Holly Hunt for a multi-year undertaking for our clients with non-pareil taste and an extensive contemporary art and photography collection. Scott & Warner Builders oversaw the extensive renovation that required the double level penthouse at the iconic building at 1960 Broadway to be stripped to its shell.

Managing Principal Federico Engel and the design team worked closely with the building's HOA and navigated challenging regulatory agency requirements and historical considerations. The 1925 Frederick Quandt designed Beaux-Arts building's facade was honored, while windows were added or enlarged wherever possible to maximize the 360-degree views from the unit. The design team coordinated and designed sophisticated mechanical, structural and acoustical systems.

The top floor was reimagined as spacious primary suite. The minimalist contemporary design utilized the very finest materials at every turn, and employed a design language that unified the rooms. The interior walls were intentionally left as large expanses to accommodate the large art collection that was installed upon move-in.
