Butler Armsden is the proud recipient of an AIA Redwood Empire Award for our Valley of the Moon Retreat. This modern weekend retreat, designed for a family of four and their extended family, sits high in the hills opposite Glen Ellen and overlooks the beautiful Sonoma Valley that was famously christened the "Valley of the Moon" by Jack London. Associate Principal Glenda Flaim led the design rooted in the dynamic interplay between nature and the built environment.
